You can now flag packages as "Trade Samples" directly in Distru—saving time and streamlining compliance with Metrc.

🚀 Flagging a Package as a Trade Sample

You can flag a package in several areas across Distru:

➤ From the Packages Table

  1. From the table or within the package detail view, click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the package.

  2. Select “Flag Package as Trade Sample.”

  3. The package will now display a Trade Sample Icon indicating its currently flagged as a trade sample

➤ While Creating or Editing a Sales Order

  1. After fulfilling a line item with a package, open the three-dot menu.

  2. Click “Flag Package as Trade Sample.”

➤ During Inline Repackaging

  1. A Trade Sample Icon labeled will appear in the inline repackaging window

    1. Enable it to ensure the resulting package is flagged as a trade sample.

➤ While Using the Split Package Dialog

  1. Toggle “Is Trade Sample” on each output item.

  2. You’ll see this in both the template section and individual outputs.

🔄 Unflagging a Package

If a package is already flagged:

  • The option will read “Unflag Package as Trade Sample.”

  • Click it from the same three-dot menu to remove the flag

🚨 This part of the feature is currently unavailable pending an update in Metrc's API - Please log into Metrc and unflag packages directly in their UI for the time being

🔍 How to See Which Packages Are Trade Samples

  • Look for the Trade Sample icon next to any package (beside the testing icon).

  • Use the “Is Metrc Trade Sample” filter (Yes/No) in the Packages Table to quickly narrow down.

  • Export the Packages Table to view the "Is Trade Sample" column (Yes/No)
