Overview
Creating a Buyer Account in DistruCommerce allows licensed cannabis retailers and buyers to place orders, track order fulfillment, reorder products, and manage purchasing directly from vendor menus in their state. Setting up an account is free and takes only a few minutes.

1. Ways to Create Your Buyer Account
You can create your FREE Buyer Account using any of the following methods:
Clicking a direct menu link shared by a vendor
Accessing a menu from a shared email
Visiting: https://app.distru.com/commerce/buyer
Alternatively, while viewing a Distru seller's menu:
Click Sign In → Then click “Create a free Distru account” when prompted
2. Step-by-Step: Account Creation
1. Click Create a Free Distru Account from any of the methods above.
2. Fill out the form with:
First Name & Last Name
Email Address
Company Name
✅ Pro Tip: You may receive an error message stating that this company already exists, which means there is already an account with the same Company Name. Check with other coworkers who may have already created an account. If so, have them send an invite to join so that orders can be managed together.
3. If managing orders as a separate location, add the location after the Company Name to differentiate the names. (ex, Canna Green LA)

✅ Pro Tip: Copy & paste your license number directly from Metrc or BioTrack to avoid any typos.
4. Create a Password with:
At least 8 characters
One uppercase, one lowercase, one number, and one special character
5. Click Create Account
3. Confirming Your Email
Once submitted, you’ll be directed to a confirmation page.
1. Open your email inbox
2. Look for an email titled “Confirm Your Distru Account”
3. Click Confirm Account
Your account will be validated, and you'll be redirected to your DistruCommerce page, ready to place your first order.
4. Adding Shipping Locations & Licenses
You’ll need to add an address and license number. There are two ways to do it:
During Checkout
When placing your first order:
1. In the Checkout Section, under Shipping Location Address, type in the delivery address
2. Select the License Type from the dropdown
3. Enter the License Number
4. If the Billing Address is the same, check the box. If not, uncheck it and add the billing address separately
The license is automatically saved to the account once an order has been placed with it at least once.
From the Menu View
You can also add an address in the Menu view:
1. Go to any menu
2. Click on the Ship To toggle
3. Select Add Location
4. Enter:
Shipping Address
License Type
License Number
5. This will pre-save the information for checkout. Keep in mind that an order must be placed using the specified license to save it to the account.
5. Change Location's Name
These addresses don’t appear with custom names (like “Warehouse A”). Instead, they show the full address. If you want to assign a custom Location Name:
Go to Your Account → Settings → Company → Company Info
Scroll down to Warehouses / Facilities
Click Edit on the location and rename it (e.g., “Intake Room” or “Main Distribution Center”)
You can also add more locations here and associate them with an existing license
6. FAQs
Do I need a cannabis license to create a Buyer Account?
Yes. DistruCommerce is for licensed cannabis operators only. You’ll need a valid license number during signup.
I didn’t receive my confirmation email. What do I do?
Check your spam or junk folders. If it’s not there, try resending the invite or contact support for help.
