This uploader is designed to bulk import packages from Metrc into Distru or update metadata on existing package records. It validates against your product setup, compliance data, and license configuration for accuracy.

🧾 Preparing Your CSV File
🔻 Step 1: Download the Template
Go to Settings > Import Data > Import Packages
Download the template CSV
🧩 Step 2: Fill in Fields

Distru ID | ✅ (update only) | Used to update existing packages |
Package Number | ✅ (create only) | Must match active, unimported package in Metrc |
Distru Product Name | ✅ (create only) | Must be package-tracked and match exactly |

Distru Batch Number | Optional | Custom batch reference |

Bin Names | Optional | Comma-separated. Must match bins in Distru |
❌ Do not fill in Package Number, Product, License, or Location for updates
✅ Use ## to nullify a field (e.g. clear a description)
📤 Uploading Your File
Navigate to Import Packages
Choose either Create New or Update Existing
Upload your CSV
Map the fields using the uploader UI
Submit and wait for confirmation
You'll see a summary of successful rows and a downloadable error file for any failures.
🔄 Update Mode Rules
Rule | Description |
Distru ID | Must be present |
Editable Fields | Expiration Date, Harvest Date, Batch Number, Description, Bins |
Non-editable Fields | Product, License, Location, Package Number |
Validation checks include:
Dates must follow ISO format
Bin names must exist if bin tracking is enabled
Distru Product must be package-tracked and match Metrc unit type
Metrc Package must be active and not yet imported

Avoid duplicated package numbers in your CSV—each row must be unique
Updating a package clears bins if you enter
