Hardware Requirements

In order to setup your Ohaus Defender 3000 to automatically send weights to the Distru app during teardown, you'll need the following hardware (all can be found at the Distru Hardware Store):

    1. Note: This scale is ideally used for bulk/tote weighing. If you are weighing individual plants, this scale is not suitable for you.

Plug in, Charge, and Turn on your Scale and Dongle

1. Once the dongle is charged, long press on the blue button until a green light flashes to turn the dongle on

1. Connect the Bluesnap dongle with the usb cable provided to charge the dongle

2. After connecting, the bluetooth dongle will turn solid green light

Set Up the Scale

Now that the scale is powered and the adapter is plugged into the indicator, enter the setup menu by holding down the Tare/Menu button.

Use the Yes/No/Back keys to navigate through the menu.

Enable Stable Only

Menu > Print > Stable Only > On

Set Stable Only in auto print

Menu > Print > Auto Print > Stable Only

Turn on both Gross and Net

Menu > Print > Content > Gross > On

Menu > Print > Content > Net > On

Disable Parts Counting

Menu > Mode > Count > Off

Verify Baud is 9600

Menu > Print > Baud > 9600

Select the adapter in the list (should be at the top, same ID that’s printed on the side of the adapter).

Last Step

Whew, that was a lot... Luckily we only ever have to do that once!

Now all you have to do is turn off your scale, and turn it back on. Once you've done so and connected your phone via Bluetooth, you should be able to open the Distru app to pair your Bluetooth scale like so:

On your harvest screen, click on the "Pair" button:

Wait a few seconds and you should see your BlueSnap device:
