Placing Orders for Customers through the Menu

A quick guide showing sellers how to place customer orders directly through their DComm menu—faster, simpler, and more accurate than manually building orders in the ERP.

1. Log into Distru

Start by signing into your Distru account

2. Open Your DComm Menu Link

Navigate to your DComm menu link to view your live product catalog

  • Go to the main menu bar

  • Go to Commerce - Seller, then to Your Menus

  • Find the menu you are looking to place an order for a customer on

  • Click open the link under the URL section for that menu

3. Select the Customer

On the menu, you can choose the customer to place the order for.

  • On the top left of the menu, there will be a dropdown that says "Shop as Customer"

  • Choose the customer from the dropdown list

  • If they are not listed, then they need to be added in the CRM. Check out this article to add the customer to your account: Creating a Company

4. Build the Order

Create the order for the customer just as the customer would do for themselves.

  • Add products to the cart to build out the customers order

  • If they have pricing tiers attached, then the discounts will automatically apply.

5. Proceed to Checkout

Once you've added all items for the order, you can place the order.

  • Navigate to the Checkout button at the top right of the page to complete the order.

  • Once the checkout page opens, confirm the order and customer details before submitting.

6. Order Confirmation

After placing the order:

  • The customer will automatically receive an order confirmation email.

  • Your team will also receive an email notification indicating the order has been placed.
