OVERVIEW: How to create both Metrc items and Metrc strains from within Distru.

Creating Metrc Items

  1. Select the Metrc shield in the top right corner of your Distru page.


    ​

2. Select "Create Metrc Item".

3. Select the Distru product that will be linked to the Metrc item you're creating.

4. The "Metrc Item Name" will auto-populate with the "Distru Product" name.

5. The "Category" and "Unit Type" will auto-populate with the information that is already tied to the Distru Product you've selected.

6. Select the Strain of the Metrc item that you're creating. If it's not yet created select "+ Create Metrc Strain".

7. If you have to create the strain, enter the name of it in "Metrc Strain Name".

8. Select the "Testing Status" of the strain in the dropdown menu.

9. Select the appropriate Indica/Sativa ratio from the slider bars provided.

10. Select your licenses where this strain will be created.

11. Hit the green "Create Metrc Strain" button once complete.

12. Select/enter the unit weight of the Metrc item you're creating.

13. Select the appropriate "Unit Weight Unit Type" from the dropdown list provided.

14. Once all the info is filled out for your new Metrc item, select the green "Create Metrc Item" button. Distru will sync this info to Metrc.

Creating Metrc Strains

  1. Select the Metrc shield in the top right corner of your Distru page.

2. Select "Create Metrc Strain".

3. Enter the strain name.

4. Select the "Testing Status" of the strain in the dropdown menu.

5. Select the appropriate Sativa/Indica ratio from the slider bars provided.

6. Select your licenses where this strain will be created.

7. Hit the green "Create Metrc Strain" button once complete.

Caveats and Guardrails

  • Permission to create items in Metrc is required to sync from Distru.

  • A strain must exist within destination license in order to create a new Metrc Item with that strain.

  • A strain can only be created once in any given license.

  • Once created, the same strain can be added to additional licenses at any time.
