Importing Packages into Distru

This is how you get your inventory into Distru, but first you have to create the packages in Metrc as highlighted in this article (Metrc users).

  • Once your packages have been created in Metrc or BioTrack, and your Distru Products are created, you can import your packages into Distru.

  • The Metrc / BioTrack icon on the toolbar will indicate if you have any notifications, which you can then click on to see what Quick Actions you can take, as shown below.

  • One of these is a function called ‘Import Packages’ that will alert you if you have packages in Metrc or BioTrack that are not yet in Distru.

Upon selecting Import Packages, packages will be listed:

  • Select the Distru product for each package that you want to connect that package with.

  • Select Import Packages when the Distru Product has been associated to all packages you want to import.

Note: The naming should match if you setup your products as the same as items in Metrc.

Select Location or Warehouse

  • You can then select which Location you want to import these packages into, and you would repeat this process for as many facilities you need to import your products into.

  • BioTrack users: With locations syncing 1:1 between BioTrack and Distru's, packages imported into Distru from BioTrack are automatically imported into the package's (barcode's) existing BioTrack location

Enter Batch Number (optional)

  • You can also specify a batch number for your packages at the time of importing, as well as during other times as described in this article.

  • This batch number will be visible in various pages as well as exports, with more exports / reports to be added over time.

How to Change Distru Product

If you make a mistake and need to update the product associated to the package, the first thing to clarify is: what product specifically needs to change?

  • If its the Metrc Item that needs to change, consult your compliance officer and consider utilizing an assembly to update the package to the intended Metrc Item

  • If its the Distru Product that needs to change, click the 3 action dots next to the package number and select 'Change Distru Product'

    • BioTrack users: Per BioTrack, you must select a product with the same BioTrack inventory type as the package's current Distru product
